Sewing since the age of eight has led Lauren to become a serious student of fashion and costume history. She is an ardent collector of vintage patterns, clothing, books and periodicals. She received her honors degree in Fashion Design from FIDM. In 2002, she began a custom sewing business. In 2005, she utilized her talents designing the wardrobe for the independent film "Treasure of the Templars". She moderated an online forum for vintage clothing enthusiasts called The Fedora Lounge. Lauren enjoyed working for many seasons sewing costumes for the San Diego Opera, and also for the 2007 season of Carmen at the La Jolla Playhouse.

Due to the growth of my online business I no longer accept custom sewing commissions.  If you are a business looking to hire a full time designer, or an invester interested in launching a vintage clothing line please contact me via the link below.
